Artist Statement
Amanda Whitaker is an abstract, contemporary, visual artist and sculptor. The uniqueness of her art comes from the combination of bold colors, organic lines, and mixed media elements.
Her art is an intimate conversation with each individual. Everyone sees different things in my artwork, and it opens a dialogue between two people. Artwork crosses cultural differences and divides and connects in ways that nothing else can. She wants people to look deeply at the artwork. How does it make you feel? What does it look like to you? Does it spark a memory? Does it make you think and reflect?
Artwork requires quiet space that is lacking in our everyday lives. When we take time to look at artwork, a conversation between you and the artist transcends time and space.
